This Twist On Fruit Cake – I’m Definately Making This For Christmas!

No more worrying about your grandmas fruit cake. This delicious and fresh fruit cake ideas connects two of our favorite winter fruits: cranberry and oranges. Good thing about this recipe is that it made i as big or as small of a batch of these loaves as desired and they come out sweet, soft and perfect for the holidays!

YOU’LL NEED

3 1/2 Cups Flour

1 Tbsp Baking Powder

1 Tsp Salt

2 Tbsp Orange Zest (1 Orange)

1/2 up Orange Juice

2 Sticks Butter

2 Cups Sugar

4 Eggs

1 Cup Milk

1 1/2 Cups Cranberries

2 Cups Confectionery Sugar

2 Cups Granulated Sugar

Bake the cakes for 45-50 minutes for the small batch, and 50-60 minutes for the larger one, both on 350 degrees. Whisk your confectionery sugar and some orange juice to make a delicious, zesty glaze to drizzle on top – and there you have it! You have a beautiful batch of delicious holiday loaves that are great for gifts or for any holiday get together.
